This soapstone and steatite is excavated from a new quarry in southern Canada, near Washington State. The quarry supervisor has thirty years experience extracting stone for sculpture purposes. The colors are dramatic, and we are just starting to uncover new variations in color and hardness. The Ordering Information page lists types of stone we now have available.
